Back in (blog-) business and back in sync! That’s what I wanted to be for a long time and what I try to be right now! After “years” of silence finally a new blog entry. I’m a bit sorry, but honestly: we worked hard! But no more excuses … here we go:
For a long time I talked to my friend Nicolas Chaix aka I-Cube about the good old “sync” business. It’s all about syncing the machines (mainly Roland X0X) and just start to jam and see what’s coming out of the boxes. No more sitting in front of a computer screen for hours. No more backache! Just more fun: running around in the studio. Pulling and plugging cables, playing some real keyboards, turning on the arpeggiator (in sync!), being annoyed if some connection failed, struggeling with some analog equipment that’s not in tune, many many technical compromises, etc etc. But at the end: a fantastic sound straight out of the box, very human, very intuative and very spontaneous!

It started in Lissabon probably the most beautiful town in Europe. We as innervisions are doing a kind of residency there from now on at the famous Lux Club which includes 4 nights per year in different cast. Rui Vargas the resident there and a very good friend of us came up with this idea. He is a great dj and head of programming without him Portugal wont be a housenation like it is. Lux Fragil has a great architecture outside and inside too.

Good Evening People,
There are a couple of things we House-heads can still learn from Rock N Roll. One is definitely stage diving:

Please welcome two new contributions by our homies from a little band called The Whitest Boy Alive.
Although they are already redefining the limits of proper label management, for which I give them a huge amount of credit, they are also reshaping the art of stage diving. More … »

Taken From The Running Back MySpace Page:
“Hello young aspiring producers or old frustrated ones,
we get really swamped with demos and links and demo links and questions about demos or demo links at the moment. So, before you think about sending us anything, take a deep breath and a short moment of your time instead of wasting it for all of us. Do you really know anything about this label? More important, do you like the music we put out? Hell, have you even listened to it? If so, it might makes sense to contact the coach, otherwise…please…Miss Thing!
And what about those mass send emails to 100 and one labels, all visible in the email header? Ruff times, huh?
At first, we wanted to tell you that unless your name is Larry Levan, Andy Sojka or Radio Slave, it would make no sense at all to even try, but we don’t want to be too rude, do we?
To put it in a nutshell: The Team consists of close or far friends and their friends or friends of their friends. Are you a friend?
Thanks for listening to this rant.
Running Back
PS. If you know the maiden name of Gerd’s mother, we offer you an album deal.”
