New York, Rio, Tokyo?
Don’t forget about Dallas, Texas, kids!
What seems to be the most unlikely city on earth for club culture, was the place of a real gem. Thanks to designer Philippe Starck and his extravagant taste (what a chair!), legal MDMA called X, a DJ with an oversized moustache and some kids with a distinguished passion for all things European, the “Starck Club” has been one of the best kept secrets of the on-going excavation of DJs, clubs and dance phenomenons. Until now. Nothing stays the same as they say and so the legends and shocking stories of glam, hedonism or proper dance floor workouts are about to be shared with the rest of the world. Keep your eyes open for the finished and soon to be opened documentary.

Episode VIII
„So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.“
F. S. Fitzgerald

It’s called Abwrackpraemie, the closest translation would be wrecking bonus. The concept goes as follows:

Good Evening People,
There are a couple of things we House-heads can still learn from Rock N Roll. One is definitely stage diving:

Please welcome two new contributions by our homies from a little band called The Whitest Boy Alive.
Although they are already redefining the limits of proper label management, for which I give them a huge amount of credit, they are also reshaping the art of stage diving. More … »

Freaks and their selfmade instruments … a never ending story. But often very interesting! Like in this case. At the “New Instruments Battle” a guy named Skot Wiedmann (no, he is not related to me!) won with his really obscure synthesizer: a modular synth connected through some sort of neural network. The controllers for this seems to be like two touch sensitive pads plus two endless wheels.

Ladies & Gentlemen,
we feel proud, happy, delighted, enchanted, flattered, whipped, punched, crunched, wasted and whatnot that this little release is out now.
Please welcome Âme’s latest two audio pieces Setsa & Ensor, which look especially gorgeous in vinyl format and package. Give it a try.
Much obliged,
Matthias
