Hello everybody!
Proudly we can announce the arrival from our scarfs we did in co-operation with Slam Jam and Matzu. We took six motives out of the matzu pictures inside the Tokyo Black Star Cd and made some nice silk scarfs out of it. Our friends from Slam Jam did a great job and soon they will be available in our webshop.
Alex played on an instore gig at the Slam Jam Shop in Milano and you can find some great pictures from that event on the Slam Jam Blog.

Check out their website and their blog, cause they are very interesting guys coming form the original Cosmic Disco Scene back in the days and they have a great approach to music and design in general.

For about 10 years Tim Sweeney is producing is well know radioshow “Beats in Space”. While spending a night in NewYork Henrik and me got an invitation to perform at his show and drink some beers. Thanks Tim, for your great work over the last years and for the nice evening in the basement of some dormitory … and for this great map which finally explains why the Innervisions travel expenses are always that high!

And if you like to listen to the music … here you go.
PS: I’d like to excuse myself for some mixing bugs due to technical problems

Taken From The Running Back MySpace Page:
“Hello young aspiring producers or old frustrated ones,
we get really swamped with demos and links and demo links and questions about demos or demo links at the moment. So, before you think about sending us anything, take a deep breath and a short moment of your time instead of wasting it for all of us. Do you really know anything about this label? More important, do you like the music we put out? Hell, have you even listened to it? If so, it might makes sense to contact the coach, otherwise…please…Miss Thing!
And what about those mass send emails to 100 and one labels, all visible in the email header? Ruff times, huh?
At first, we wanted to tell you that unless your name is Larry Levan, Andy Sojka or Radio Slave, it would make no sense at all to even try, but we don’t want to be too rude, do we?
To put it in a nutshell: The Team consists of close or far friends and their friends or friends of their friends. Are you a friend?
Thanks for listening to this rant.
Running Back
PS. If you know the maiden name of Gerd’s mother, we offer you an album deal.”

Hello everybody!
I am Alex from Tokyo part of Tokyo Black Star with my partner in crime Isao Kumano.

I am back in NYC from the Miami Winter Music Conference where most of us, Dixon, Frank, Henrik, Marcus and myself got together for a few days to enjoy the sun and to play at the annual aquabooty/Innervisions party last Saturday. Thank to all you who came down to support!
