A day in the life of an Innervisions employee

Hi Everybody,
I hope you’re doing good. Apologies that I didn’t write earlier.
I just came home from Cannes, France. I was attending Midem, a music fair or what is left of it. My head’s exploding, I have a lot of ridiculous stories going through it. And believe or not, I managed to do some business down there.
Now, it’s always tricky to write and muck up the hand that is feeding you, but knowing the fact I have strong competitors, I’ll give it a go.
Cannes during Midem is bizarre. First, because of the weather. I mean who is going to the Mediterranean in mid January? Screw that. Second, the whole town is rammed with Music-biz exec’s, who are having a serious ego-, hence drug problem or just want to get laid to cope their marriage problems. Or to make them worse.
Now, people, don’t go down to Cannes and shag whatever drunkie is closest to you and think you will get away with it. You won’t. It’s a small town, everybody is sharing some apartments or even if you’re in a room on your own, the Music industry has always loved rumours and gossip. Plus, you meet a lot of people there. Meaning: everybody knows or will know before midday. To quote Austin Powers: BEHAVE !
Here’s another really odd fact. Basically during Midem you hang around in the Palais, that’s where actual fair is, in a certain cafe across the street or in any of the five-star hotel lobbies that are on the Croisette (that’s the promenade on the beach). Usually you’ll have a free wi-fi zone, but not this year. This year in one hotel lobby they were charging 10 Euro per hour for internet access. Although it is as much as you pay for a beer, guess what place offered free wi-fi internet access: McDonald’s.
Stay tuned for more stories about the days in the life of an Innervisions employee.
wondering why the business is the way it is …
More please! This stuff cheers me when I’m pretending to work really hard for my degree.
Sad Matty, Wi Fi should be free everywhere….Shame on the Grand Hotel for charging 10 euro for internet. Especially during these hard times. Great work on your end though. Cheers mate
