Episode V

„Just over the top of the hill they came on the patch of fir-wood. Leaving the road they went into the deep resin-scented darkness of the trees, and gathered dead sticks and cones to make a fire. Soon they had a merry crackle of flame at the foot of a large fir-tree and they sat around it for a while, until they began to nod. Then, each in an angle of the great tree’s roots, they curled up in their cloaks and blankets, and were soon fast asleep. They set no watch; even Frodo feared no danger yet, for they were still in the heart of the Shire. A few creatures came and looked at them when the fire had died away. A fox passing through the wood on business of his own stopped several minutes and sniffed.

Michaela Melian

There is a big connection between art and music,but rarely it happens that the result is really satisfying. There are a few examples, which prove that it is possible like Carsten Nikolai,Steve Reich,Ryuichi Sakamoto or in this case Michaela Melian. She became one of my favourite German Artists over the last years. I first discovered her through her Art by visiting an exhibition curated by a friend of Mine. I walked into her Installation and i was fascinated from the first moment. It was a loopy dia projection accompanied with some great music which reminded me to the slo mo house beats from Theo Parrish combined with a touch of Steve Reich. I went straight home and bought her first album called ” Baden Baden ”

Sao Paulos best record store

After a 12 hour flight arriving in Sao Paulo the first thing to do was to go record shopping. And the best place to go in Sao Paulo is DISCO SETE … a really small but well sorted store for brazilian music. (Rafael from Nomumbah brought me there … thanks!). It’s nearly a 100 percent sure that you’ll find there a copy of one of the best brazilian records: Milton Nascimento / Lô Borges – Clube Da Esquina

Episode IV

Good Evening, everybody. (I am completely out of hope!)

This post will be short and full of hatred.

I’m a single and it’s the middle of december. Why the hell can’t people cope with the pre-christmas time. They are either suffering from severe relationship problems with their loved one’s or pretend to have a proper depression.

Do I look like a soul toilet with which people can flush away their problems ? Am I a vending machine selling advise ?

Fashion Incident

On our recent trip to the States we had a longer stop in Los Angeles. As you know we are definitely some shopping victims and we didnt miss to check out our favourite shops there like Opening Ceremony and Scout. Scout LA is a great concept store which fuse vintage second hand stuff with some selected interesting new brands.

Like last time we found some great jewellery and second hand stuff. Ana – Dixon’s lovely girlfriend – and me convinced Steffen to buy this great shirt from the 80ies. It took a while before Mr Berkhahn got it but then he was really happy with his purchase. On the Innercity Party at Violet last saturday he wore it and it was the talk of the night.

It looks very visionary, but the great Druffalo Squad found out were we get all our inspiration.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INNERVISIONS EMPLOYEE

Episode III

Good Evening, everybody. (Me hopes you are out there having it !)

It’s 6.48pm on thursday, 4th of december 2008 I’m sitting in the office, sipping a beer (beck’s that it), listening to Queen’s „A Day At The Races“ and I have to write the mighty episode iii of my little blog here.

Given the fact that star Wars episode iii is the best movie of the prequels and the frickin best star wars since 1980’s mind-blowing „the empire strikes back“, I better come up with something good. I’m a fierce critic of myself.

I have a wee tiny problem though. I absolutely don’t know what to write. Maybe I should write a blog about what to write when you don’t know what to write. But it is already too confusing to read that crap sentence. I could write about christmas, barack obama, the recession or show you a picture of god.
